Maintaining a healthy weight is important for your overall health as it helps lower your risk of heart disease, stroke and certain cancers. Small, realistic changes to your diet can have an important positive effect. And doing a little more exercise can help too.
The chances of successfully losing weight and changing unhealthy habits forever are increased with us working alongside you. One You East Sussex has a range of free services available beginning with our Health Coaches who have the specialist knowledge and experience to advise and guide you each step of the way, changing bad habits and showing you how to lose weight for good.
Our 10 week adult weight management service is specifically aimed to help men and women with a (1) BMI (Body Mass Index) of 30 or over or (2) a BMI of 25 or above with a medical condition, to lose weight.
These 10 week, community based programmes are designed to reflect the different needs of men and women, promoting healthy eating and an increase in physical activity to facilitate weight loss.
Each weekly session delivers a 60 minute hands-on workshop, focusing on making healthy sustainable lifestyle changes. These include our famous “Store Tour” and “Cook and Eat” sessions, which have proven to be a big hit with our previous clients.
This is followed by 30 minutes of fun and engaging physical activity sessions, from heart pumping dance aerobics to body sculpting core stability!
MAN v FAT Football is a new and exciting fun way to lose weight through playing football. A 14-week league with eight teams of 10, playing 30 minute games each week.
Points are awarded for amount of weight lost plus additional points are awarded for winning games! Over the course of the league there is continued support for all players with access to a MAN v FAT weight loss coach weekly and 24/7 online support.

Recording what, when and why you eat can help you understand a lot about your eating patterns and areas for change. Try keeping a diary for two weeks and see if you can identify healthy changes you could make. Information on keeping a food diary can be found here.
