Quit smoking with support

Many things are better when they’re done with other people. Country dancing, dinner parties, rugby… all pretty disappointing if you’re alone.

That’s why we’ve set up a new Facebook support group for people who are on their stop smoking journey with us here at One You East Sussex.

Quitting smoking is fantastic for your health and your pocket, but nobody’s going to promise it’s easy. That’s why we’re here to support you to make the change. Our specialist stop smoking advisors will work with you for 12 weeks, walking with you every step of the way. And between appointments, you can use Facebook to talk to people who are also attempting to quit smoking. Whether you want to share your successes, your difficulties or tips you’ve come across, having other people to chat to can be a huge help.

With the help of a specialist, you’re 4-times more likely to be successful at finally quitting smoking than if you go it alone.

Whatever your reasons are for wanting to quit, we will help you reach your goal and be smoke-free. Everybody’s personal journey is unique to them; you may want to stop smoking because you’re concerned about Covid or other respiratory conditions, because you’re keeping an eye on costs or for many other reasons. That’s why it’s so important to have the help of someone who’ll listen to you and your story. We’ll never judge, we’ll just be there to help you succeed.

If you’d like to use medication (Champix) to help you quit we can help you get a prescription from your doctor; if you’d prefer Nicotine Replacement Therapy (nicotine patches, gums, sprays etc) then One You East Sussex can provide you with this for free. As specialists, we’ll advise you on your options and the way we feel you’re most likely to succeed, but all the decisions are down to you. We’ll respect the way you want to quit. It’s your journey, after all.

So, don’t quit alone. Quit smoking with One You East Sussex.
