FAQ’s

How long will it be before the cravings stop?

It happens very quickly. After 2 weeks your nicotine receptors will begin to die out and that’s when the cravings will begin to reduce. But keep in mind that if you use your medication as directed this will result in minimal cravings. 

Doesn't Nicotine Replacement Therapy or Medication make you feel depressed?

No. There was an independent study in 2016 and the findings were that Nicotine Replacement Therapy or Medication does not cause depression . Read the results of the study here. www.Champix.co.uk 

I've tried patches and they don't work.

Did you use patches alone? They only provide 1/3rd of the nicotine that you used to get from cigarettes. This is why we urge you to use patches and an oral product and if you use it ‘on the hour, every hour’ it will prevent withdrawal symptoms and give you the best chance to quit. 

Why are you giving me nicotine when that's what I am addicted to?

It may seem  counter-intuitive but the nicotine we provide is clean and doesn’t contain the harmful substances found in tobacco. It’s released slowly to prevent your nicotine receptors from becoming aggravated so they die out whilst you experience minimal withdrawal symptoms. 

What about vaping?

PHE state this is 95% safer than smoking and can be a very effective way of quitting. We support people who would like to use an e-cigarette and also can provide one for you to use when you sign up.
