Workplace NHS Health Checks

FREE NHS Health Checks for your employees

One You East Sussex offer FREE NHS Health Checks to businesses and workplaces across the county.

What is an NHS Health Check and how is it valuable to Employers?

An NHS Health Check is a check-up for adults in England aged 40-74. It’s designed to spot early signs of stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, type 2 diabetes. Reducing the risk of preventable diseases coupled with the fact that high sickness rates also cost businesses financially, we believe it is to crucial to look after your staff’s health and wellbeing.  We have specialist practitioners who will spend around 40 minutes with each eligible member of staff and perform a series of tests/measurements including blood pressure, BMI as well as a small finger prick blood test for cholesterol and often diabetes. The results, including estimated heart age, are fed back at the end of the appointment.

Have a read of some recent feedback from a workplace that we recently visited in St Leonards.

“One You provided a great, accessible, easy to use, thorough and confidential service.  The checks were easily arranged with a friendly Health Check Practitioner, who explained the process well and provided excellent feedback to those involved. Providing the checks at the workplace enabled our staff to attend without having to book an appointment with their doctor in their own time.  Feedback from those that attended has been positive and we will definitely use it again in the future”.
